Surin is a very nice location, at once an important point of reference of Khmer Empire, where the elephant is a real symbol due to historical reasons. The Provincial seal is characterized by a white elephant, Airavata, who is always represented carrying Lord Indra, the King of gods, pointing out the value of the big animals in Thai culture. Surin is located in north-east Thailand and it is reachable by rail, air or bus. Hi, I will be arriving bangkok on the 21 Nov afternoon and wish to attend the Surin Elephants Show and Round up Thailand 2009” on the 22 Nov and spend 1 to 2nights at Surin-Guesthouse or farm stay( 22-23 Nov) for 2persons.
